The five younger Covers came downstairs the next morning at their usual time. They told their 'dad' 'Good morning' and also gave him a hug before sitting down to a Momma Maria breakfast.
There was the usual morning banter at the table that included the boys asking their 'dad' not to go away. Mr. Ken smiled at the boys attempt to keep him home, but he reminded them he had businesses to run, and he had to occasionally visit them, and it was time he did so.
Robert outwardly wished he could go see the new amusement park and that brought Charles to tell his 'dad' that when Robert goes, he better get to go, too. The other younger Covers then spoke up and said they wanted to go, too. All Mr. Ken could do was smile and make a mental note to start planning for a trip to all four amusement parks that summer.
The boys lost track of time, and they all had to run up to their school bus stop.
Billy came down to the Kitchen Nook just as his younger 'brothers' ran out the Foyer Door. The older teen said good morning to Mr. Ken and Momma and then cleaned Chief's bowls and gave the resident pet fresh water and kibble.
"You going to be OK, Bill?" asked Mr. Ken, referring to their talk from the previous evening.
Bill smiled at the man and told his foster dad that he thought some more about what he told him when he went to his room. Bill said he came to realize that there wasn't anything he could do to change the outcome. The teen added that when he woke up that morning, he felt like he had slept good last night. The teen added he'd just have to wait until the results came back, and then they could talk about them then.
Mr. Ken thanked Bill for his evaluation. The man told the teen that things should work out for him, in the long run, and for Bill not to think any more about what they talked about last night.
Bill smiled at the man, and it was then Momma served the newest Cover his breakfast.
Brett and Kaden met Billy as he got off the school bus. The three friends walked away some and when they stopped Billy told Kaden he could come over to The Cove tomorrow and to try to be there by 10 a.m., so he could help set out a thousand Easter eggs.
"You've got to be shitting me!" loudly exclaimed Kaden.
"Well, you asked if you could come over and this is what we're doing on Saturday. All my 'brothers', and some of their friends, will also be there to help set out the eggs, and then get the prize area set up. Then, at about twelve noon, the Easter Egg Roll will begin.
"My foster dad said he expects to have a couple hundred kids there to run to collect the eggs and then check what they won. Some of the plastic eggs have winning coupons, some have nickels, dimes or quarters, and others will just have candy. This will be the fourth year for the Easter Egg Roll, and it is only one of the many activities Mr. Ken hosts for his neighbors," added Bill.
As the first bell rang, Bill told Kaden and Brett he'd talk to them at lunch.
After his first week at his new high school, Billy felt more relaxed and comfortable than at any of the other high schools he'd attended. He believed he owed it all to now living at The Cove. Even though he was concerned about the blood test Doctor Powers had done, he sensed Mr. Ken would be fair if the test came back positive for illegal drugs.
At the school the younger Covers attended, they talked about tomorrow's Easter Egg Roll. Many of the boys and girls had been to at least one and they reminisced about their running and grabbing for Easter eggs before anyone else got to them. They all had a good laugh over their antics and then being lucky enough to win a big prize.
At lunchtime, over at the high school, Billy, Brett and Kaden were sitting and eating their lunch. While the three new friends sat, ate and talked, a few of the other freshmen came over to Billy and introduced themselves. They made small talk with the new student.
Some other classmates came over to Billy and asked when they could get an invitation to The Cove. Billy was initially surprised at the student's forwardness, but he remained calm and answered them. The new Cover told them he could only invite two people at a time and he'd already done that. The students told the new Cover they hoped they'd get an invitation soon.
A few moments later, a few of the so-called 'popular' students stopped at Billy's table. They too were looking for an invitation to The Cove, but they didn't like the answer they got. Billy tried to stay calm and cordial to explain Mr. Ken's rule about how many classmates he could invite over at a time. But the 'popular' students told him to cancel the invites he already gave out and to invite them. Billy said, "NO!"
One of the bigger students went up to Billy and grabbed him and pulled him out of his seat at the table. Billy didn't resist. The Cover wanted to get the jerk off balance, while pulling him out of his seat. When the tyrant turned some to set Billy where he wanted him, Billy took action.
With the bully off balance, and at an awkward angle to do anything to Billy, the attacked Cover freshman was able to punch the tormentor right in the kidney. As the attacker straightened up and grabbed his kidney area, Billy punched him hard and deep in the stomach.
Some of the bully's friends came to his aide, but so did Billy's two friends. By then a teacher came over to where the ruckus happened and asked them what was going on there. The bully told the teacher he had a back spasm and his friend was trying to help him. Accepting the reason, the teacher walked away.
When the teacher was out of earshot, the antagonist looked at Billy and told him to watch his back. Billy looked at the bully and punched him again right in the stomach. Billy told the bent over student he didn't take to bullies, or their threats, and if he is ever attacked again, by anyone, he was the one who would feel his wrath. Billy, Brett and Kaden walked away just as the after-lunch bell rang.
Kaden was impressed by his new friend's ability to take care of himself. The freshman told his friend that as they walked to their first afternoon class. Kaden also wanted to know who taught Bill how to fight, but Billy didn't respond as they entered their classroom.
Mr. Ken, Mr. Chris and Mr. Wayne were sitting in the Study that afternoon to discuss Mr. Ken's trip and what was planned for the following week, while the boss was away. The owner of The Cove told his employees his itinerary, but mentioned it could change as the weather does.
Mr. Ken also reminded Mr. Wayne of the boys' doctor appointments for the coming week and told the Estate Master that if Doctor Rick has any physical results on Bill, he was to keep them until Monday, after his return.
And even though it was just the beginning of April, Mr. Ken asked Chris to start working on the 4th of July Picnic contracts. The Cove's owner also asked Chris to call the carnival rides operator and tell him about the construction and that he'll need to figure out a different setup pattern. Mr. Ken also asked his Estate Manager to call the pyrotechnics contractor and talk about the 4th of July fireworks, and to get a feel for any possible changes they'd need to plan on.
At the end of class, Kaden tried to get Billy to talk to him more about his knowledge about fighting and taking care of himself. Billy didn't want to answer the teen, as he didn't want to talk about his step-dad, and how he taught him to be proactive when it came to bullies and delivering the first blow and take control of the altercation.
Eventually, Billy got tired of Kaden constantly asking about his fighting skills, so Billy told his new friends that it was a long story and he didn't have time right then to tell it. Kaden asked if his friend would tell him tomorrow, but again Billy told the teen that they'll be busy most of the day tomorrow and he wasn't sure if he'd have time. Kaden was disappointed at hearing that.
When Billy returned to The Cove that afternoon, he went directly to the Kitchen Nook and some of Momma's famous after school treats. Today she had bunny shaped cakes with jelly beans for eyes and spread around the shredded coconut that was used for the bunny's nest.
"Momma, these look awesome," exclaimed Billy.
"Wells, Iss thanka youss fors saysing thats," replied Momma Maria. "Nows digs ins. Theres ares vanillas cakes and lights chocolates cakes waitsings fors youss tos justs tastes thems,"
Billy sat down and asked for a piece of both cakes. Momma pulled out what was left over from what the teens 'brothers' hadn't eaten. She cut a nice sized piece of both cakes and served them with a glass of vanilla milk for the newest Cover to eat. All Momma could hear was the teen talking to himself about how lucky he was for being sent to The Cove and Momma's cooking.
When Billy had eaten his fill of bunny cake, he thanks Momma with a hug and then he headed to the Study to talk to Mr. Ken.
"Bill, come in; take a load off your feet. Anything interesting happen at school today?" asked the foster dad.
"Ahhh, Mr. Ken ... ahh some of the other freshmen came over to me and asked when they could come over to The Cove. I told them about only being able to invite two people at first and they pretty much accepted that.
"It was when the 'popular' kids came over that things got a bit dicey. They asked about being invited over here, but when I told them the same thing, I told the other students, they didn't like the answer.
"Well ... one very large guy pulled me out of my seat at the lunchroom table. I figured he was going to slam me, so when he was off balance and in an awkward position I ... I hit him hard in his kidney. Then, when he turned to me, I hit him ... I hit him square in his stomach.
"Mr. Ken, I'm not going to let anyone to attack me. So, when my attacker told me I'd better watch my back I hit him again and this time hard in his stomach. I then told him I didn't take to bullies, or their threats, and, if I am ever attacked by anyone, he would feel my wrath.
"Mr. Ken ... I won't ever start something, but I will definitely finish it. My step-dad ... he taught me how to defend myself and that is probably the only good thing he ever did for me," finished Bill.
Mr. Ken sat there thinking about what his newest foster son just told him, but he knew the other boys were out in the area, so he called out, "Come on in boys."
"Did you really hit the boy, twice?" asked an excited Robert. "I've been attacked at school, too, and I told my dad I wasn't going to take it, and that I'm going to fight back. Will you teach me some things I can do to defend myself?" asked a hopeful Robert.
The other boys joined in and asked Billy to teach them some moves to defend themselves, too.
"Boys, I don't like the idea of you fighting. Yes, I do want you to defend yourselves, but at school it seems the person who throws the second punch is the one who always gets into trouble, not the person who starts the fight.
"Bill ... I ... I don't want you showing your 'brothers' offensive moves. Sheesh ... what am I saying? Bill ... don't show them anything, including defensive moves. When I get back from my trip, I'll talk to Mr. Dan to see if he knows someone who could give all of you boys some pointers on defending yourselves.
"But ... hear me NOW boys ... I do NOT want you telling anyone I am considering doing this, and if I do you will NOT, and, I repeat NOT, tell anyone you are learning some defensive fighting moves. Boys ... that includes everyone!
"I am not going to pay for your forty-plus friends to learn to defend themselves. Do you all understand what I am saying? NO ONE boys, and I mean no one!" emphatically said 'dad' Ken.
"So, I guess since you are down here it is almost time for dinner, so we should all wash our hands ... up to our elbows," laughed 'dad' Ken. The owner of The Cove then got up from his chair behind his desk and headed back to his private retreat to get cleaned up.
Momma Maria was out in the MRS Room, just before the Study entrance, when she heard what her employer told the boys, she quietly walked back to the Kitchen Nook.
"Theres mys Cover's mens," announced Momma Maria, as all the Covers walked into the Kitchen Nook. "Iss sees Misters Waynes isss nots hears agains. Iss hes Oks?" asked Momma.
"Momma, I will be gone all of next week, and Mr. Wayne is taking care of some personal issues these past few days. He will be here tomorrow for the Easter Egg Roll and will remain here, at least, until I return the following Friday," replied Mr. Ken to Momma Maria.
Tonight, Momma Maria cooked Veracruz Style White Fish. It was Good Friday and, being a good Catholic, she decided the men would eat fish for that night. She knew the boys wouldn't like lots of chili peppers in it so she made a mild tomato sauce to go with it.
Momma also fixed Mexican Baked Fish. She served both with a small salad, rice, black beans, sour cream, salsa, shredded Mexican cheese, fresh guacamole and warm tortillas. She told the Covers they could try to make a soft fish taco and add the toppings that they liked.
This was the first time Momma Maria had ever fixed fish for them. The boys weren't sure if they would like it or not. Billy knew whatever Momma fixed would taste great, so he did what Momma Maria suggested. He made a baked fish soft taco and added sour cream, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes and guacamole.
The other boys watched what Billy did and when they saw him close his eyes and enjoy the taste, they all figured they would try making their own soft fish tacos. Mr. Ken tried the Veracruz Style White Fish which was basting in the red tomato sauce. He added some rice and cheese to his plate and placed the white fish on top and added some tomato sauce all over it.
Robert and Charles saw what their 'dad' had done, so after they ate their fish taco, they decided to taste the sautéed white fish the way their 'dad' did. They loved the taste and were now happy Momma had made them her two fish meals.
The Covers ate both fish entrees that night like they were a special treat. Momma was pleased her men were enjoying the two different fish recipes she cooked that night. She never told them why she made the fish meals for them that Good Friday night.
After dinner, the Covers headed to the Study to talk, as they usually did. The boys wanted to hear more about what Billy did to that student, and why he didn't get into trouble. Billy told his 'brothers' no teacher saw what happened, because it was just two quick punches.
Billy did tell them a teacher did come ever to find out was all the fuss was about, but the other teen told him he had a back spasm and I was helping him. That's when the other guy told him to watch his back and he gave him another quick punch to the stomach.
The boys, especially the younger ones, were mesmerized by the retelling of their older 'brother's' confrontation in the lunchroom at the high school. Mr. Ken reminded his boys not to talk to anyone, and he stressed anyone, as he looked at Robert, not to tell anyone he was going to talk to Mr. Dan about someone who could show the boys how to defend themselves against a bully.
Billy needed to get working on his homework, so he excused himself and went up to his room. 'Dad' Ken talked to the other boys for a few more minutes and then sent them up to their rooms to relax before going to bed. He reminded them they needed to be downstairs showered and fed by ten to meet their friends and start setting up for the Easter Egg Roll.
Later, when 'dad' Ken went upstairs to tuck the boys into bed, his last stop was Bill's room. The man gently reminded the teenager about being downstairs, showered and fed by 10 a.m. The man encouraged his new 'son' to meet his new friends up at the Main Gate and get them registered. Mr. Ken added for them to help get started on setting up the Easter Egg Roll. Bill smiled at his foster dad and thanked him for reminding him.
Bill was too old to be tucked into bed, so Mr. Ken just squeezed the teen's shoulder and told him to sleep well and he'd see him in the Kitchen Nook in the morning. Mr. Ken then scratched behind Chief's ears as Bill said 'Goodnight' to Mr. Ken. As the man departed the room, he closed the door.
All of the boys woke up around 8 a.m. They got their showers and dressed in school clothes and headed downstairs for breakfast. Bill saw that Charles had lagged behind, so he called out to him to wait up.
"Charlie ..." was as far as Billy got.
"My NAME IS CHARLES! You know that, so why did you call me Charlie?" demanded a very upset Charles.
"I know that Charles, it's just ... it's just that I know you as ... Charlie," began Billy.
Charles was caught off guard by the revelation and his mouth opened, but nothing came out.
"Charles ... my dad, well my step-dad ... he was killed in that shootout last summer. He knew your mom ... and I'd seen you, a time or two, but we never talked. I thought ... I thought I recognized you when I first came here to live, but ... but I wasn't sure. Then, the more I studied you the more I knew who you were," revealed Billy.
"But, but I ... I never saw you anywhere, you know, where my mom took me, so ... so how did you see me?" asked Charles.
"Charles, my step-dad ... he would never let me out of the car. He always ... he always told me to slip down below the windows and not look. But, you know, being a kid, I looked anyway. That was how I saw you and you didn't see me. I also heard your mom was arrested for using drugs and geez was Smokey ever pissed," replied Billy.
"Who was your step-dad?" asked Charles.
"My step-dad was ... Jody Franks. Why do you ask?" replied Billy.
"You mean 'Greaser'?" demanded Charles.
"Yea, why? What does that have to do with anything?" asked Billy.
"Billy ... we need to tell 'dad'," was all Charles said, and then started to head to the stairs.
Billy called out to Charles to wait, but the pre-teen was already at the top step. Billy figured that would be the end of his time at The Cove, so he nonchalantly walked to the steps and started down.
"Dad', 'dad'" yelled Charles, as he ran into the Kitchen Nook.
"Slow down sport," said a smiling 'dad' Ken.
"'Dad' there is something important I need to tell you," replied Charles.
"But you need to eat and we all need to get ready to meet the other boys coming over to help set up the Easter Egg Roll. Can't it wait?" asked Mr. Ken.
It was then, Billy walked into the Kitchen Nook. He heard Mr. Ken's question and he told the man that it was probably very important.
Mr. Ken got a surprised look on his face and seeing the looks on Charles' and Bill's faces he decided he'd take them back to his Study to talk to them. The other boys were about to get out of their chairs, but 'dad' Ken told them to stay put, and not to come to the Study.
When the three Covers walked into the Study, Mr. Ken stayed behind and then closed the door. The three each took a leather chair and sat. They looked at one another and no one said a thing.
"Charles ... what's this all about? We don't have a lot of time before the rest of the boys arrive, and then we need to get a move on and start setting up the Roll. Come on now 'son' ... tell me what this is all about," implored 'dad' Ken.
Charles looked at Billy first. Then, with a few tears running down his face, he said, "Will my knowing Smokey ever be over?" The boy then jumped into his 'dad's' lap and hugged the man for all he was worth.
Billy recognized he needed to speak up so he said, "Mr. Ken ... I ...I knew Charles ... from before. It wasn't until ... it wasn't until early this week that ... that I was sure I knew him. But I never found the right time to try to talk to him. This morning ... as we were walking down the hallway I ... I asked him to wait for me.
"He asked me how I knew him and I told him. It was then he asked who my step-dad was. When I told him, it was Jody 'Greaser' Franks, he said we needed to talk to you. Well, here we are. I ... I thought we could talk about, you know, what our parents did and how we got caught up in their drug use and dealing. But, he, Charles, wanted to talk to you," offered Billy.
Mr. Ken looked at Charles and asked him, "Son ... is what Bill says ... true?"
"Yes, 'dad' it is. But ... but why did Ms. Judy bring Billy here, 'dad'?" asked the still tearful pre-teen.
"To be honest with you, 'son', I'll bet Ms. Judy didn't realize that Bill's step-dad and your mom ever crossed paths. Sure, Jody Franks worked alongside Smokey, but it was almost a year ago that the shootout occurred. I'd have to ask myself how Ms. Judy would ever put you two together. I know that I never made the connection and I'd seen Bill's folder.
"Boys, we're wasting our breakfast time and you two need to eat something. The question I need to ask before we go out to grab a bowl of cereal is ... are you two going to be able to keep this quiet for now? Or, do you want to tell your 'brothers' when we go out to the Kitchen Nook and get it over with.
"I'm sure you both realize they will all want to know why we had to have a closed-door discussion. Charles, they'll bug you and bug you and they'll get their friends to ask you, too. You know they will.
"Bill, your new friends won't know about this, so you'll be good for at least a while. But ... your 'brothers' ... they are going to want to know more about how you two know one another and why you didn't say something when you first got here.
"I'm going to ask you two to decide right now, right here what you're going to do about your 'brothers'. If you decide to tell them, when we go out to the Kitchen Nook, I'll stress upon them NOT to tell anyone.
"If you decide not to say anything to them ... I will stress on them NOT to bother you about this and to not tell their friends! I know this is going to be awkward, no matter which way you decide, but ... you two need to decide what is best for you, and pretty quickly. You both need to get a bite to eat before you're both outside working your buns off," said Mr. Ken, in a light, jovial manner.
Billy and Charles quietly talked about what they should do. Bill didn't want to say anything, but Charles told him they would eventually know and the sooner the better. Charles also said that since they'll be busy putting out plastic eggs, they won't bother them about it until later tonight.
"Mr. Ken ... Charles and I ... we decided ... we decided to tell our 'brothers' that ... that I knew who Charles was before I came here. We don't want to wait. That way ... we feel they can think about it and then later tonight we can all sit down and talk about it. Will that be OK with you?" finished Bill.
The three Covers walked out into the Kitchen Nook which was very quiet. Mr. Ken stopped and asked the boys for their attention. He told the boys their 'brothers' had something important to tell them. He then stressed the boys they were NOT to tell their friends or discuss it with anyone and he again stressed NOT to talk to anyone.
Charles looked at Bill. The pre-teen wanted the older 'brother' to tell the rest as he was the one who brought up the fact that he knew Charles from a previous time frame.
"Ahhh ... I, ahhh ... I don't know where to start, so ... so, I guess I'll just tell it outright and explain some of it to you now and ... and then later tonight, I hope... I hope, I can then explain it better.
"Ahhh ... I ... I ahh knew who Charlie, ahh who Charles was ... before I came here," reluctantly announced Bill Dirketson.
The four boys at the table immediately started asking questions. Mr. Ken had to hold his hands up to get them to stop. He told them Bill was going to give them the Reader's Digest version and they would all talk about it later after dinner. Mr. Ken indicated Bill should continue.
"Ahhh ... my step-dad ... ahh, Jody Franks ... he ... he was killed ... in that shootout with police last summer. He ... he was a member of 'Smokey's' gang. Ahh, I ... I was never introduced to Charlie, ahh Charles. I did see him enough times though, that when they talked about a young kid who was doing Gina's pickups and drop-offs I ... I knew who they were talking about.
"I never thought I'd ever cross paths with Charlie, I mean Charles, again. So, when I was brought here about ten days ago, I thought ... I thought I knew him, but I wasn't sure. But the other night at dinner I ... I finally realized who Charles was. So, this morning I decided to talk to Charles about what I knew. That was what our private discussion was all about with Mr. Ken," explained Bill.
"Boys, let them get a bowl of cereal before the other boys arrive. And, remember, you are NOT to talk to anyone about this revelation. Do you hear me boys? We will decide tonight who else will know, if anyone. This is a very private matter and none of you, I repeat, NONE OF YOU are to go out and tell anyone. You all understand?" emphatically stressed 'dad' Ken, as he looked directly at his son, Robert.
Billy went and got the cereals while Charles got the bowls and milk. Before he sat down, Billy got two bananas and sat down next to his pre-teen 'brother'. Billy cut a banana into his bowl of cereal and asked Charles if he wanted to try some. Charles said he did and the oldest teen Cover cut a banana into the bowl. The two Cover boys sat and talked some, but quietly.
Mr. Ken saw the two boys talking quietly and trying to keep their voices down, so he sent the other boys out to the garage to start getting the plastic eggs ready. Mr. Ken watched Charles and Bill joking about something and hoped that they would be able to move past their 'little' problem.
It was 10 a.m. when the guard at the Main Gate called Mr. Ken to tell him two teens were there looking for Bill. Mr. Ken told the older teenager to go up to the gate and sign his friends in and have them entered into the database. He then told Charles to catch up with his 'brothers' and that he'd clean up the dirty dishes.
"We thought you forgot about us," teased Kaden.
"I was talking to Mr. Ken and forgot about the time. But you'll get over it. Now, I need you two to answer some questions the guard will ask you. That way you can be entered into the database. That way you also don't have to be vouched for every time you come over," announced Billy.
"Did you say we can ... we can come over after today?" asked Brett.
"Yes. Anytime I am here you can come over. Remember ... no drugs of any kind! If you are caught with them the guards will call the Sheriff's office and they will come and take you away," warned Billy.
After Brett and Kaden were signed in and entered into The Cove's computer, they walked down the slight incline. Billy knew he needed to introduce his friends to Mr. Ken, so he led them directly to the garage where he knew the man, his 'brothers' and their friends would be.
"Mr. Ken ... let me introduce you to my two friends from school. This is Brett Wrangeler and this one is Kaden Stylers. Brett, Kaden ... this is my foster dad, Mr. Ken Thomas. And those boys over there are my 'brothers' and their friends. We're all here to spread out all those plastic Easter eggs," said Bill Dirketson, as he pointed to boxes and boxes of Easter eggs.
"Boys, I want to thank you for volunteering to help us this morning. I hope the other boys will take the time to introduce themselves to you as time goes on. But time is passing us by, so let's get started and we can all talk later," announced Mr. Ken.
Mr. Ken then explained to everyone there were going to be three Easter Egg Roll areas set up. He broke the boys up into three groups. The owner of The Cove had them carry their plastic eggs to the areas he designated, and told them to start placing the eggs along the established lane.
As the boys began spreading out the one thousand plastic eggs, Mr. Wayne came rolling into The Cove. The Estate Master parked his car in the parking corral, and went out to catch up with his boss, who was trying to supervise the boys.
"Good morning, Mr. Ken," offered Mr. Wayne, as he walked up to his employer.
"Morning Wayne. Could you help the boys along the wall? They're putting out the smaller eggs for the 2, 3 and 4-year-olds, but they're putting them too close together. Ask them to spread them out more and go down towards the end of the driveway," directed Mr. Ken.
The Cove's owner went over to the other two groups of boys and had them do the same. The boys went back and picked up every other egg and placed them further down the track the older kids were to follow.
Even with the late start they were all finished setting out the three groups of eggs by 11:15 that morning. Mr. Ken told the boys to grab a soda and relax while he explained how the three Easter Egg Rolls would proceed.
By then the kids and their parents began to arrive for the anticipated Easter Egg Roll. Mr. Ken and Mr. Wayne along with Bill, Brett and Kaden went up to meet the boys and girls and their parents. The host for the Roll began telling where the kids were to set up according to their age.
Mr. Ken then asked Bill, Brett and Kaden to do the honors. The man explained there were three different groups and explained there were, the 2 to 4-year-olds, the 5 to 7-year-olds, and the 8 to 10-year-olds.
While the older teenagers directed where the different age groups were to line up, Mr. Ken gathered the other boys. He had them spread out along the Easter Egg Roll tracks to help define where the children were to run to collect as many eggs as they could.
The closer it got to twelve, noon, more children and parents came into the estate's grounds. Mr. Ken was happy he had Jules keep the night guards on. He knew there would be loads and loads of children and parents.
He made the decision to have Jules keep his men there because of what happened to his boys at Halloween last year and with Matthew and his mom's so-called friends. He couldn't take the chance that someone would come in and try something. He just hoped nothing would happen with all those innocent children there.
