Jason Blackwell has shown to excel in everything he does. He possesses an eidetic memory. He is also tough on himself, getting upset with himself when he received less than a 100% on any test. His leadership skills and organization skills are second only to Jordan Rivers.

While he attended Space Camp at the age of twelve, his team, which he led, received a score lower than he believed they deserved. He hacked the military computers to "correct" his score. This was only discovered because the judge knew that he didn't properly rate the Blue Team and went to adjust the score. While those in charge had their suspicions, they were not sure who changed the score until Blackwell confessed.

The only negative mark on Blackwell would be that he tends to come off as arrogant. He has a brilliant mind with an IQ off the charts. With that, he's not afraid to "suggest" a better way to do something. He does, however, follow the instructions of those above him should they disagree with his "suggestions."

History:
Kyle has shown himself to be a brilliant astrogator, at least insofar as his simulator and test sessions are concerned. As with all of the astrogator trainees, how he reacts to the stresses of real situations can't be evaluated in training. He is the youngest Chief Astrogator in the program, with the next oldest being fourteen. It is this brilliance that earned Kyle his senior officer position on the SooLoo.

Kyle works hard in leadership training. His age and resulting inexperience in life sometimes hold him back, but he seems intent on being the best possible officer. Unfortunately, he also is having a difficult time dealing with his own personal issues. He tends to be a loner, and is can be sullen and borderline insubordinate at times. His experience playing basketball, baseball, and soccer on the Prep School teams has served him well in learning how to lead, but that positive is often not enough.

His low grades in the basic classes of English and History indicate an unwillingness to commit himself to subject and tasks that don't interest him. He needs to improve his attitude in these areas to maintain his position.

John Luke is an outstanding student, athlete, and person. He finished at or near the top of each of his classes, and was in the top 10 among all trainees in Advanced Astrogation, Senior Officer Leadership, and Ship's Operation.

He showed his integrity during his interview with Captain Bowman of the Sooloo. When Bowman offered him the Chief Astrogator position, Luke said he would be willing to take the Assistant Astrogator position since Kyle Robinson, who had interviewed for the position, was more qualified. Captain Bowman then awarded the position to Robinson.

Lieutenant Luke put what he felt was the good of the crew ahead of himself. His inherent sense of teamwork and unselfishness shows that he has the potential to be an outstanding member of the crew of the Sooloo.
