Priority: URGENT - Update

Effective 13 November, 2004 the Family Clan Short Atlantic Fleet is commissioned and consists of the following units. Ensure all persons who might require interaction with the Fleet are updated with the new capabilities and designations. Note that the pre-commissioning CSSF designation is retired upon entering active service as a commissioned vessel in the Family Clan Short Fleet.

The following are the hull designations as determined by Patriarch Cory Short: (Note that classification is determined by capabilities, not hull design. This is different than other naval vessels, but is a logical change due to the Fleet being based initially on converted ships and boats)

Clan Battle Cruiser (CBC-##): Iowa Class, Has extended AI and weapon capabilities, shielding upgrades that are above what can be carried on smaller ships.
Clan Heavy Cruiser (CHC-4##); Casey Class. Has standard ship-issue AI, extended weapon and shielding upgrades.
Clan Light Cruiser (CLC-1##); Dodds Class. Has standard ship-issue AI, primary equipment is extended range detection, shielding upgrades
Clan Heavy Escort (CHE-2##); Little Class. Standard ship-issue AI, extended anti-missile and energy weapon defenses. Uplink capable to fleet to act as forward sensor. Extended shielding.
Clan Underwater Attack (CUA-##); Missoula Class. Standard ship AI, upgraded communications and uplink capability. Unique shields, upgraded weapons.
Clan Underwater Scientific (CUS-19##); Furst Class, Standard ship AI, Deep Submergence, upgraded communications and uplink capability. Unique shields, upgraded weapons.
